Expense Update (June 2019)

Once you begin tracking your expenses, you begin to recognize the areas of your finances you can begin improving on. The real power comes after having tracked your spending habits over a longer stretch of time. The longer spending patterns tell a deeper story about yourself. The data may contribute to your confidence or spark a calling for change.

Once you understand your spending habits through the data you collected overtime, there is no excuses. It becomes easier to internalize your habits and own them. No one to blame but yourself. We often are our worst enemy than most external factors.

Many of us are no different and we all have our desires. We all fall to the temptations and influence of society time to time. But that’s ok! We are not built to be perfect beings.

What’s important is our efforts to raise our self-awareness, continuously learn, adapt, and most importantly to act. To take action and implement the changes required. To try something different.

Building wealth starts from the most fundamental tasks. The foundation of habits are what carry you even when life slams you against the floor.

So with that in mind, time to take in the data and take control!

Conclusion

In June, I had a road trip to Yellowstone that contributed to the expenses for the month. Without the road trip my expenses for the month would of came in around $1,900.

A great free online tool to get you started is Personal Capital.

Shopping expenses for the month were all on gifts.

My AT&T mobile phone bill has been reduced by $10! Just for applying for auto-pay! I can’t believe I didn’t know about that one for so long! $10 dollars! That’s a bowl of pho… every month… 12 times a year…

There we have it folks. Another month in the books! Thank you for reading.
