Credit Card Rewards Update (3rd Qtr 2019)

Credit cards are such a beautiful thing if you pay them off every month in full of course! If you have revolving credit card debt, It’s more like cancer to your finances.

So, pay of your debts first before reaping the benefits of credit card rewards.

The best cards are the ones that reward card holders for using them. So, I use them to pay for everything such as bills and groceries. I even use them to pay taxes but only when I am churning a card for rewards to meet spend requirements.

Rewards add up fairly quickly. My expenses are pretty low, but I still generally make enough rewards in a year for a new phone or something nice for the family.

So, lets take a look at how my rewards have grown since last quarter shall we?

Credit Card Rewards

  • Credit card rewards gained a total of $459.99 during the quarter. A 33% increase since last quarter!
  • Most of the rewards came from churning the Wells Fargo Propel AMEX card. (Spend $3,000 and earn $300)
  • Fidelity credit card ran another promotion for additional rewards. (Spend $1,900 for additional $20 reward on top of your 2% rewards)

The only issue with these rewards is that they can be spread out in multiple accounts. It doesn’t bother me too much. Can’t complain about rewards!

I’m thinking about spending my rewards on some gifts.

  1. Dyson V11 (Gift)
  2. Treadmill (Gift)
  3. iPhone 11 (Gift) AT&T customers can get one for only $300!
  4. Trip to Florida

How do you guys spend your credit card rewards? I usually spend my rewards on tech or gifts for family. Can’t really think of anything I personally need. I feel I have everything I ever needed in my life. 🙂

Well, that’s a wrap on the quick update! Thanks for reading!
